2) Plan your disconnection for maximum productivity and well-being
To ensure an ideal writing environment, we recommend that you turn off your notifications during the retreat. If you want, you can schedule an automatic out-of-office email. Here is an example to inspire you.
Hello,
I wish to inform you that I am participating in a writing retreat for the whole day of (day, month, year) and that I cannot answer my emails during this short period. I will answer you as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Tips:
1. If you tend to be very present on social networks, why not announce that you are on Thèsez-vous writing retreat for the day using the hashtags #WeAreWriting #Thèsezvous. Announcing your engagement "publicly" can help support your disconnection for the day. 2. During writing periods, we recommend that you keep your cell phone out of reach. |
3) Prepare your writing environment (in French)
The video capsule below contains some ideas for setting up your writing space before the writing activity. Take time to watch it to inspire you and prepare your space the day before the retreat.
4) Prepare your SMART objectives
During the cohort, we will be using a common board for our objectives. You can add and move your objectives on the board at anytime before, during and after each cohort day.

5) Have your Zoom link just a click away
The Zoom link to access the activity can be found in the email you will receive the day before the first day of the cohort. It will be the same link for all the cohort.
About Zoom

5) Take a break!
During your 10-minute breaks or when you return from your lunch break, take advantage of the half hour left before you resume writing to clear your mind by taking a screen break, going for a walk or even following one of the exercise videos that we offer (in French):
